Journalism in Peru Madventurer Gap Jobs has an exciting new opportunity for anyone interested in gaining work experience across all aspects of print journalism. Based in the stunning of city of Cusco, we are launching our very own publication for distribution across the city. We need hard working and enthusiastic volunteers in all areas of production – from researching and writing articles, to editing and designing the print layout. For people without prior experience in journalism this is an amazing chance to gain a wide range of skills that will benefit you throughout your future career. For old-hands in print journalism, we are looking for you to put your skills and experience to great use, motivating your team and really leading from the front. This is also a wonderful chance for people studying business and marketing. Looking after the running of the office, and contacting local businesses for advertising, you will have the opportunity to get involved in the local community and see how business in Peru really works. Obviously this placement calls for a good level of spoken and written Spanish. This makes it ideal for students of Spanish, who want to increase their vocabulary by writing articles on a huge range of subjects. With the scope to research and write your own stories for publication, this is the chance to research important social issues and get involved with local community leaders and development projects.
